What Is The Bible
The Bible is a collection of books written by different authors and is sacred to the Christian religion. The first 39 books are also acknowledged as sacred texts by the Jewish religion. This collection of books took over 1600 years to write and exhibits several different styles of writings, including poetry, narration, history, law, and prophecy and must be interpreted in context of those styles. The Bible contains the inspired word of God and how to apply these words in your life.
The Bible is separated into two separate sections, the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament tells stories and teachings of God before the birth of His son, Jesus. The New Testaments tells stories and teachings of God after the birth of Jesus.
