About Us
The Bible Society in Victoria was initiated on July 14 1840 at a meeting in Scots Church Melbourne. In Janaury 1966 The Victorian Bible Society became an independent legal entity but still part of the United Bible Society.
Since the initiation the Victorian Bible Society has been raising awareness of the Bible and its signifcance. In all its strength the Bible Society in Victoria has attempted to help all denominations, individuals and families to get into the Word of God through the distribution of Bibles, Bible programmes, fundraising events and donations from our surpporters.
As the Australian Community becomes more multicultural and more vulnerable to the ever changing economy, political and culture that shapes our community it has become more challenging for the Bible Society to translate the Bible into all languages to cater for every Australian. Our aim is to transform our society through the Word of God. So Help Us Today by making a donation.
